I put my Jardine on in an earlier post, and did the white spacer...had no problems with that part. Got the brass plug out, as well...no problems. When I got the brass plug out, I noticed that the screw was turned almost the entire way in...which was expected. I got the bike warmed up good, and then got my little screw-driver out to turn the screw out so that I could hear the idle go up (expecting that this would happen, I was ready to start turning the idle down then). However, as I turned the screw out, the idle actually slowed down...the more I backed the crew out, the lower the idle got! I did start to see black smoke. I thought that the idle was suppossed to go up as I turned the screw (under the brass plug) out? Instead, I cranked the idle UP with the idle adjuster for a while, but was not satisfied, so set everything back to normal (with the white space still out). What is wrong? I followed the directions thta Bruce posted in the web page....
Help!
With the white spacer out, I did notice a little more performance and less backfire...but I am not satisfied with the rest of the job.
I would appreciate anybody who can give me a hand! Thanks!
